Anna Holzer, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Anna Holzer, the Chief Medical Officer for DoctorsNow, is a native of Waverly, Iowa. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Wyoming and attended medical school at American University of the Caribbean on St. Martin. She then completed the Mercy Family Medicine Residency in Des Moines.
David Stilley, MD, MBA
Dr. David Stilley received his medical degree at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is board-certified in both family medicine and emergency medicine. In 2004, he received his MBA from the University of Tennessee. A commercial instrument-rated fixed wing pilot for 25 years, Dr. Stilley added his helicopter private rating and helicopter commercial ratings in 2008.
He has practiced emergency and urgent care medicine in Central Iowa since 1988 and served as the medical director for the highest-patient-volume emergency department in Iowa for many years. Dr. Stilley served as the Chief Medical Officer for DoctorsNow from 2007 until 2015, when he handed the baton to Dr. Anna Holzer. He continues to practice at DoctorsNow, providing urgent care for adults and children.
Gordon J. Bruinsma
Director of Business Operations and Development
Gordy Bruinsma has been a health care consultant and medical business owner for the past eight years. He comes from a financial background as he is a CPA and a former commercial banker for over 17 years, as well as a real estate developer specializing in medical projects. His role at DoctorsNow is to oversee day-to-day operations.
Gordy also heads up the DoctorsNow development team that evaluates and starts up new DoctorsNow clinics around the country. He graduated from the University of Michigan and resides in Byron Center, Michigan.
Thomas McAuliff, DO
Pediatrician Dr. Thomas McAuliff has more than 30 years of experience in pediatric healthcare, including more than 20 years in pediatric emergency care. Most recently, he served as Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Mercy Children's Hospital.
Dr. McAuliff received his medical training at Oklahoma State University in 1983 and completed his pediatric residency at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines in 1987. From 1987 to 1992, he provided pediatric emergency intensive care, as well as general care and urgent care. He was in private practice from 1993 to 2001. From 2001 to 2016, Dr. McAuliff provided pediatric emergency medical care at Mercy Children's Hospital.
Natasha Jodoin, ARNP
Natasha Jodoin graduated from Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa, with her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing in 2002. After graduating, she spent her early nursing career working at Methodist Medical Center. In 2009, Natasha graduated from University of Nebraska Medical Center with her master's degree specializing as a nurse practitioner in women's health. As a nurse practitioner, Natasha was employed at an OB/GYN and family planning office. In 2015, she expanded her scope of practice by obtaining her post master's degree in family practice from Saint Louis University.
Amanda Dyvig, PA-C
Amanda Dyvig graduated from Des Moines University in 2002 after completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa. After college, she worked in the emergency departments of three local metropolitan hospitals from 2002 through 2015.
Deborah Smith, BSN, MSN, ARNP
After practicing as a registered nurse for 20 years, Deborah earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Drake University. She then taught at Iowa Methodist School of Nursing and completed training as nurse practitioner at Clarkson College in 1998. Before joining DoctorsNow in 2015, Deborah practiced as a family nurse practitioner for 17 years.
Sara Reichart, PNP
Sara Reichart brings more than 20 years of experience in pediatric healthcare, including, most recently, 11 years as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music in 1991 from Iowa State University, Diploma in Nursing from Mercy College in Des Moines in 1991, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa in 1994, and a Master in Nursing from the University of Nebraska in 2004.
Sara has an unmatchable passion for the health and well-being of children and their families. As she explains, “Kids should not be sick. When they are sick, it's my job to make them feel better and, if possible, have a little fun while they're here.”
Elisabeth Jeffords, PA-C
Elisabeth Jeffords brings more than 15 years of experience in healthcare, primarily in Central Iowa. Her career has spanned care in geriatrics, cardiology, emergency medicine and family practice. She received her bachelor’s degree in 2000 from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. She went on to earn her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Iowa in 2003. Through her diverse experiences, Elisabeth has found providing care for families and children to be the most enjoyable and rewarding.
Kara Buckingham, PA-C
Kara Buckingham earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Grand View University in 2009. In 2011, she graduated from Des Moines University with a master's degree in physician assistant studies. Prior to joining DoctorsNow in 2012, Kara worked as a physician assistant for a local orthopedic practice. She has also worked in the emergency departments of several major Central Iowa hospitals.
